Rabbi Belinsky
Rabbi Velvel Belinsky was born in Leningrad, Russia, to a family of mathematicians. He studied in a scientific-mathematical school where he aspired to become a scientist.
At the same time, at his young age, he was already playing main roles in theater and movies. Professionals were recommending him for a career as an actor. As he was deciding between the two careers he discovered the beauty of his Jewish culture.
Today, Velvel Belinsky is an ordained rabbi and a Shaliach - an official representative of the Chabad Lubavitch movement.
