Coronavirus updates:

Dear Parents,

I hope everyone has been enjoying their summers and staying safe and sane during these strange “Corona Times”. Since the time Baltimore and the world has come to a sudden shut-down back in March, Rabbi Belinsky and I have been in close communication to re-open our Hebrew School programming in a safe and time efficient manner. The health, safety, and wellbeing is of the upmost importance to everyone. Over the summer, we hosted a Hebrew School reunion barbecue and it was amazing to see the happy, smiling faces! The American Academy of Pediatrics has recognized the importance of face-to-face teaching and interaction and recommends in-person learning when possible. We have an exciting year planned for you!

The following is our ARIEL Hebrew School reopening plan.

-          School will open in person in our building on September 13th.

-          Every morning upon arrival to school, every staff member and student will have their temperature taken with our touchless thermometer. Parents must remain on premises until their child has been cleared for attendance.

-          In the event of any respiratory symptoms, please do not bring your child to school.

-          All students and staff will wash their hands upon entering the building.

-          Each class will be held outside when weather permits.

-          When inside the building, masks will be mandatory for all students and staff.

-          All surfaces inside will be disinfected every day before students arrival.

-          Indoor classes will take place in our spacious classrooms which allow for appropriate social distancing.

-          This year, we will not allow students and teachers to share snacks.

-          Students and teachers will not touch to minimize exposure and close contact.

-          Parents must notify Morah Brooke of any exposure or positive COVID cases in the family immediately so we can trace exposure.

-          Teachers may Zoom their classes upon request.

Everyone has their own comfort level and I am sure many questions. Please feel free to call or email me directly with any questions, concerns, or suggestions. I am looking forward to seeing everyone again!

Thank you,

Morah Brooke Brodsky
